REASI, Mar 17 : The employees of Animal Husbandry Department from district Reasi today observed pen down strike for their demand of filling up the post of LDO and release of their salaries.
The employees expressed serious concern over the non-payment of their salaries for the month of February. They pointed out that Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Reasi is ailing for the last several weeks and is undergoing treatment outside the State. The LDO deputed by the Govt at Reasi has not joined his duty. The salaries of the employees of the district have not been released so far.
The employees alleged that the concerned authorities have not bothered to take cognizance of the matter even though the issue was bought to their notice. The day long protest dharna was also observed at the district office of the Animal Husbandry department.
