JAMMU, July 29: Anila Singh Charak has been conferred ‘Atal Hindi Rattan Samman’ by Vishwa Hindi Rachnakar Manch for her innumerable literary contributions in the field of literature.
Anila is the recipient of many awards and honours for her extraordinary achievements in literature. She is the first and only women writer who is promoting satirical writings in Jammu and Kashmir and has number of books at her credit pertaining to satire (Hasya Vyang). Recently she has been conferred with Harishanker Parsai Samman in Bhutan and Sahitya Kala Rattan Samman in Bhopal for her contributions in the field of satire.
She has been conferred with best book award from Sahityik Academy Jammu in 2008. Many Sahityik Organisations of different States of India have honored her for her exemplary writings.
While working as a Principal in Atomic Energy Education Centre which comes under Department of Atomic Energy Commission Mumbai, she has been conferred with Homi Bhabha award from Atomic Energy Education Society Mumbai (DAE) and also honored as an excellent administrator in the field of education at national level by global society for Health and Education (Delhi).
She has also organized painting exhibition at international level in many places. While studying in college, she played nationals in cricket and represented India and has also played an active role in Door Darshan and Prasar Bharti as news reader and drama artist respectively.
She gives credit to her parents for her innumerable achievements.
