Anila Charak’s collection of poems released

JAMMU, July 7: “Waqt Ki Ungliyon Ke Nishan”, a compilation of poems written by Anila Singh Charak, was released by Prof RD Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, in a function organized here today.
Rita Jitendra was the chief guest on the occasion while Ved Ghai presided over the function. The program started with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest along with other guests.
Dr MK Santoshi, a renowned writer, read a paper on the book “Waqt Ki Ungliyon Ke Nishan”. He threw light on different shades of the poems. He said that the poetry portrays the philosphy of life and is deeply embedded with different phases of life which involves sorrow, pain and joy which writer has experienced in its compositions. Reciting so many poems of Anila Singh Charak, he said that they touch the soul and are beautifully portrayed.
Anila Singh Charak also recited some of her poems. She shared with the audience that her father GP Singh motivated her in the field of literature and created a huge library for her inducing the spirit to write poems. He asked her to read ‘Godan’ written by Munshi Premchand when she was in class 6th.
Speaking on the occasion, Rita Jitendra appreciated the role of Anila Charak in all the fields of life.
Ved Ghai (Padamshree) terms her as a multidimensional personality, which is unique in all the fields.
Prof RD Sharma, said that Anila Charak has written the poems wonderfully and expressed hope that that her poetry will be a boon to the society.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Sudhir Mahajan.
