REASI, Dec 25: Angralla Bhatpoora area of Mahore sub-division is in dark for the last ten days as the damaged electric transformer has not been repaired by the concerned authorities.
While people of this area are facing severe difficulties in this harsh winter season, the concerned officials are in deep slumber and taking no action to restore power supply.
Sarpanch Angralla, Mohd Mustaq, while talking to the Excelsior, said that this transformer supplies electricity to more than 50 households of Ward number 3 of Angralla and from the last more than ten days, it was lying damaged. Even the damaged transformer has been brought to the roadside by the locals but the same is still not being repaired by the department, he added.
“There is no electricity in the area from last more than ten days and we have already informed the administration,” said the Sarpanch adding that with the sunset whole area slips into complete darkness due to which the students as well as the people are facing several difficulties including charging of mobiles, studying etc.
The locals requested the district administration to provide another transformer immediately as an alternate and repair this transformer.
