JAMMU, Nov 29: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Industries & Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today visited Narwal and distributed relief cheques among the victims of recent fire incident.
The Minister was accompanied by Chairperson, J&K Women Commission, Nayeema Mehjoor, Chief Engineer PHE, Chief Engineer PDD, Administrator Auqaf and other senior officers.
Cheques amounting to Rs 3000 each were distributed by the Minister among 83 families who suffered losses in a fire incident that took place on November 26.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed grief over loss of lives in the tragic blaze. He also directed the concerned departments to take immediate steps to provide other support to the victims.
