JAMMU, July 8: Awami National Conference (ANC) has expressed disappointment over Government’s decision to defer the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the State.
ANC provincial president, Gian Singh, in a statement issued here termed postponing the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations for another two years as highly unfortunate. He said that the State dispensation divesting the employees of their long awaited salary benefits under the pretext of fiscal liabilities is highly discriminatory in nature.
Questioning Government for passing the bill to double the salaries and allowances of the legislators from present Rs 80,000 per month to Rs 1,60,000 per month, Singh said when it comes to employees, Government has no provisions for implementation of the impending 7th Pay Commission.
Expressing deep grievance at the proposed pay scales of 7th Pay Commission, Singh said that the pay scale of 7th Pay Commission will benefit the salaries of only IAS, IPS, IRS and other services’ officers while Group B and C employees will have no such benefit.
