Addressing a press conference, Provost said that the initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aimed to introduce students and educators to design as a tool for problem-solving and innovation.
Dr. Chaubey held hands-on sessions at several institutions including Birla Open Minds International School Pampore, NIPS Zainapora, Life School Kashmir, WhizKids School, and ML Higher Secondary School Bijbehara.
“These workshops are part of our mission to nurture ‘solutionaries’-thinkers who apply design principles to real-world challenges,” he said.

In addition to engaging with schools, Dr. Chaubey met with key stakeholders in J&K’s education and governance sectors, including former J&K Tourism Minister Tassaduq Mufti and Director of Handicrafts and Handloom Mussarat Zia.
At Islamia College Srinagar, he addressed the role of design education in driving social and environmental change.
He also explored partnerships with private schools across Srinagar and North Kashmir to integrate design thinking into curricula.
Anant National University described the visit as a strategic effort to showcase its educational model blending liberal arts, emerging technologies, and community-based learning.
