Anant Chaturdashi celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety

SRINAGAR, Sept 19: Anant Chaturdashi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today. In this connection a Maha Yagya was performed at Nagbal Anantnag by Nagbal Prabhandak Committee led by M K Bambroo.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Kashmir Valley and Jammu attended the function and paid obeisance at the holy shrine. They also participated in Pooja -Archana. The devotees were served Prashad after Puran Ahuti.
The Hawan was performed under the supervision of Babloo Ji Jad.
The people went in a procession to Devi Bal and Reshmol Sahib on the occasion and paid obeisance there too.
At Devibal Sanjay Saraf donated a Mata Raginiya Bhagwati idol which was installed there after performing the Pooja in a traditional way. The other members who were president on the occasion included councillor Sheela Handoo, B K Wantoo, Ramesh Bhat, Bitu Jad, Jigan Goja, Kaka Ji, I K Kandroo and Krishan Lal.
Former MP and Minister, Dr Mehboob Beg and chairman Municipal Council Anantag also visited the shrine on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in connection with Anant Chaturdashi a function was held at Mata Roop Bhawani temple, Sharda Colony, Patoli Brahmana today in which a large number of devotees participated by maintaining the COVID SOPS. They participated in the pooja -archana and paid obeisance to Mata Roop Bhawani on the occasion. Bhajan Kirtan was also held in the temple premises.
On the occasion, the holy relic of Mata was displayed for darshan of devotees by the temple head Avtar Krishan Dhar. The holy relic of Mata is displayed for the darshan once in a year on this day. The devotees were served with Prashad after the culmination of Pooja -Archana.
