JAMMU, Aug 5: Prof Dev Anand is likely to be appointed as Incharge Vice-Chancellor of the Central University Jammu as the tenure of incumbent Dr S S Bloeria is expiring on August 7.
A formal order for appointment of Prof Dev Anand as the Incharge VC may be issued tomorrow by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development, highly placed sources informed the Excelsior.
Prof Dev Anand had joined the Central University last year after his selection as Dean Basic Sciences. He was earlier serving in the Jammu University where he remained as Head of the Computer Sciences Department and Dean Mathematical Sciences.
The outgoing VC Dr S S Bloeria is completing his three-year tenure on August 7. He was appointed as first VC of the Central University Jammu on August 7 2011 for a period of three years.
