An avoidable row

Sir,
It looks strange that the national language Hindi is treated as if an alien language being thrust on us. This language is the second largest one spoken in the world and besides being used in governmental business could become a link language.
However it does not mean that we stop reading and learning English but giving it top acceptability even after more than six decades of our independence seems to be quite unpatriotic.
The strong opposition from the south seems irrelevant on the ground of accepting English not our language but not Hindi which is Indian . Even the 15 years recess too seems to be in no ending. We should learn from the Chinese, the French, the Germans, The Russians, The Arabs  who all speak in their national language both at home and abroad.
Yours etc…….
