JAMMU, Oct 6: Special Secretary, Amit Sharma was invited by P.K Rath, CMD Vizag Steel Plant—a unit of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RIML) to visit the Plant in Vishakhapatnam for knowledge sharing and giving valuable suggestions to take the Plant to new heights.
Amit was requested to make suggestions to VSP with his background in policy making and development of the industrial sector utilising his past role as MD, J&K SIDCO and various assignments performed in the past two decades.
Accordingly, Amit Sharma made a visit to extensively all sections of the Plant on the weekend and shared factual data and experiences with the management of the Plant to improvise with the introduction of disruptive technologies and producing steel with a difference.
He shared that during his visit to Bhilai Steel Plant couple of years back, he had discovered a scope for introducing few important initiatives towards redefining steel production in the nation.
Sharma shared various technical aspects relating to professional management during the visit to various sections and mills of the Steel Plant which can bring visible results in shortest possible time, especially bringing by more automation and machine-intensive production.
Amit Sharma was accompanied with Sudhanshu Kumar, Manager (EMD), EMD Department, Uma Maheswar Rao, Assistant General Manager, PPM Department, MVA Satyanarayana, Deputy General Manager (Operations), Coke Oven Department, Bhakata Rao, Assistant General Manager, Blast Furnace Department amongst others who explained the processes and noted down his suggestions for improving the efficiency of Vizag Steel Plant.
