JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta along with Inderjeet Khajuria here today inaugurated lane and drain work at Chand Nagar in Ward 19 which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
The lane and drain of the area was in dilapidated condition since long and the residents were facing a lot of problems due to that.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He asked the people of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and refrain from throwing debris and garbage in drains and lanes.
Gupta stressed upon the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat and clean city.
