Jammu, Nov 3: Managing Director J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma conducted a crisp and highly interactive session with young KAS Probationers at J&K IMPA&RD here today. He was invited by the senior faculty Prof Reva Sharma to conduct this workshop so as to enthuse young KAS probationers and expose them towards latest e-Governance trends and practices being a specialist of this domain.
During the session, MD SIDCO shared the details of his projects of e-PRC, e-PDS, e-Health, e-Labour, etc which he had conceptualized, conceived and designed especially for J&K Government during his one-year full-time specialization done at IIM, Indore sometime back on official deputation. Apart from this, Amit shared the challenges and bottlenecks in implementing e-Solutions in various departments of the state while inviting young upcoming KAS officers to become a part and parcel of this silent yet inevitable revolution in the making.
He also told officers to start thinking out-of-the-box and create innovative public delivery models to become real agents of change and work towards minimization of human interface with the Government authorities through total automation and provision of online services.
Lot of KAS Probationers including IMPA&RD faculties raised points of interest and innovation with Amit Sharma during the interactive session to which he replied at length. They also showed lot of inquisitiveness towards his model of creating first e-Sub-Division and official website of Dudu Basantgarh and how he created an impact with e-Practices being adopted to get an internationally acclaimed award for this work during his tenure as SDM there.
Apart from this, MD SIDCO also shared his real-time experiences and advised budding officers in the making to keep tolerance, transparency, simplicity, servitude, official & professional etiquettes, helping attitude and public service as basic mottos of civil service to achieve long-term success and satisfaction throughout service careers.
