JAMMU, Mar 16: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta and Mahant Rajesh Bittu here today inaugurated lane and drain work at Qasim Nagar in Ward number 19 which shall be completed at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
The lane and drain in the area was in dilapidated condition since long and the locals as well as the passersby were facing problems while moving through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Amit Gupta appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the local body in Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and don’t throw debris and garbage in lanes and drain.
Gupta stressed on the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at household level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Local and others were also present on the occasion.
