One of saving schemes, offered by the Government of India, is the postal life insurance (which is commonly known as PLI, in its short form) and is very much liked by a larger group of people but, the pity is that only selected persons have been allowed by the Government to avail the facility of this scheme and the rest of the public suffers for not being entitled to become a member for the PLI. Reasons for this type of discrimination for choosing customers to become members of PLI, among common public, must be known to the concerned authorities but a humble submission is, that there should not be any difference between man and man and there is nothing wrong to rectify or amend the conditions laid for a subscriber to the Postal Life Insurance even at this stage when we see that lot of other insurance agencies are trying their level best to cover the life of all common people by offering different types of additional benefits to a common man and do not insist that he or she must be only a Government or semi-Government employee.
Sooner, my this submission attracts the postal authorities for necessary amendment, better it would be for million people of our country.
