JAMMU, Sept 12: A deputation of All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Mr. Sunman and apprised him of the various demands of the displaced Pandits.
The delegation was led by president of the Committee, Dash Rattan Pandit. The delegation presented a charter of demands to the RC and demanded that the problems being faced by settled immediately. It demanded permanent water supply scheme for Jagti, timely disbursement of relief and ration to all camps and non camps, launching of recruitment driver for KP youth in police, enhancement of relief from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, one job to one family, compensation of Rs 50 lakh to overaged youth, release of balance ex-gratia, posting of more staff in Relief Organisation and completion of all existing works. Daljeet Singh, B L Koul, C L Raina, Ashsok Sharma, Abdul Rashid, Vinod Bhat, Sameer Wali, Kay Vee and Ashu Bhat attended the meeting.
