JAMMU Jan 2 : BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today organised a ‘Janta Durbar’ at Jagti camp to understand and redress the problems of the displaced community on fast Track Module.
MLC was also accompanied by the officials of the Relief Commissionerate which included Relief Commissioner R.K Pandita, Executive Engineer Relief wing R Bhat all the zonal officers of Jagti Township and their staff.
Some prominent and renowned thinkers and social workers of the displaced community which included Dr Ramesh Tamiri, Opinder Ambardar, Prof M.K Raina, Mahraj Santoshi and R.K Tickoo had also accompanied MLC for the visit to give their valuable inputs and feedback so that added and joint efforts are made in a process to mitigate the sufferings of the displaced community living in Jagti and other camps.
During the Janta Durbar which was attended by residents of the camp who had come in large numbers, on the spot redressal was provided to some problems relating to bifucation, ration slips, Inclusion, medical cases, allotment of flat and many more matters pertaining to sanitation were discussed and on the spot assurance and solution were announced and provided by the Relief authorities in presence of MLC
Relief Commissioner while speaking on the occasion said that the Central Government has approved a Fund of Rs 27 crore for renovation purposes of all the camps in both Jammu as well as in Valley (Transit Camps) and further added that within a month’s time all the renovation work shall start and Jagti township work will be taken on priority since maximum people from the displaced community reside there, he added.
It was also announced on the occasion that the process of recruitment for the additional 3000 posts for displaced community announced by BJP led NDA Government will start soon as most of the formalities for the same is underway and will be completed in time frame manner.
RC also said that it has been decided that all the bifurcation cases new or old will be resolved in 15 days time frame and any delay by any official in any manner will be dealt with stern action.
