JAMMU, Feb 26: Amandeep Medicity, a Super-Specialty Hospital of Amandeep Group of Hospitals, Amritsar celebrated its foundation day in the form of week-long celebrations from 18th to 24th February.
The celebrations started with a “Nutritious and Health Food Mela” in which more than 30 Dieticians participated to display 60 nutritious dishes. The week-long celebrations also witnessed Hand Hygiene session for patient’s attendants, Poster Making Competition, First Aid Session for Traffic Police Officers, Paper Reading Competition and Physiotherapy Sessions for senior citizens.
The celebrations concluded with a cultural programme followed by a grand awareness walkathon. The theme of the walkathon was health, peace and humanity, which was very much coinciding with the name of the Hospital i.e. Amandeep Medicity.
Initially, Dr Avtar Singh (Chief Orthopedic Surgeon), Dr Amandeep Kaur (CEO), Dr Shahbaz Singh (GM) Amandeep Group of Hospitals, Dr Anupreet Kaur (Director) Amandeep College of Nursing and Dr Kanwarjeet Singh (Medical Director) honored Major Kavita (Administrative Officer, 1st Punjab Girls Battalion, NCC) and Dr OP Singhania (Chairman, Shree Marwadi Vidyalaya) for their valuable support in the week-long programs.
The Walkathon started from Amandeep Medicity near Novelty Chowk and after passing through Income Tax Office Chowk, Rani Ka Bag Park and Mata Lal Devi Mandir Road and concluded at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar. More than 400 people including NCC Cadets of Air Wing and Army, students of Amandeep College of Nursing, School Band of Shree Marwadi Vidhyalaya, doctors and Hospital staff of Amandeep Medicity and Amandeep Hospital participated in the walkathon.
