No alternative to Cong: Bhalla

JAMMU, Nov 12: Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture and Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Raman Bhalla today asserted that only Congress can ensure continuity in the ongoing developmental activities in the State particularly in the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He stated that Congress made development as a narrative and discourse in the State, and dispersed the fruits of development beyond the confines, adding that Congress had vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir.
“Congress will once again revive the paradigm of all-round and equitable development of all the three regions of the State particularly Gandhi Nagar constituency, if people repose trust in us”, the Minister said  while addressing series of public meetings in Nanak Nagar, Bhatindi, Rani Talab and Digiana areas of the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He added that Congress worked for the up-gradation of the basic facilities and infrastructure of various priorities like quality education, water
and power supply, better medical health care facilities for the benefit of residents of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
“There is no alternate to the Congress Party as during the period of this party, the country and State progressed in all sectors. The party has multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty, upliftment of weaker sections of the society”, Mr Bhalla added.
The programmes and policies of the Congress party are people friendly and millions of poor people have availed benefits of various schemes launched by Congress party, said the Minister.
Mr Bhalla asked the people to compare his tenures as representative of the Gandhi Nagar constituency with previous 50 years and make the difference themselves on ground.
He  exhorted the party workers to make people aware about the peace, prosperity and secular policies of the Congress, so that the communal forces, who are trying to create a wedge between Hindu and Muslim communities, are given a befitting reply in the forthcoming Assembly.
Some of the prominent persons also spoke on the occasion assured support to Mr Raman Bhalla as Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
In Nanak Nagar, the meeting was held at Sector 9, which was organized by Parveen Gupta, while as in Bhatindi, the meeting was held at Karyani Talab and was organized by Kamal Singh. In Lohar Mohallah area of Rani Talab, the meeting was organized by Karnail Singh, while as in Roop Nagar of Diagina, the meeting was organized by Shashi.
