KANGAN, June 5: Minister for Forest and Environment, Mian Altaf Ahmad accompanied by Minister for Housing and Horticulture, Raman Bhalla today visited Kangan and inspected work on-going health institutions being constructed by J&K Housing Board in the constituency.
The Ministers inspected Gutlibagh Primary Health Centre and 60 bedded Mother and Child Care hospital besides Kijpora amusement park constructed by Forest Department.
While inspecting Gutlibagh Primary Health Centre, the Ministers were informed that Rs. 1.43 crore have been expended on the project so far while work on the project is going on war foot basis. The executing agency was asked to speed up the work and ensure completion of ground floor of the building within two months.
During inspection of 60 bedded Mother and Child Care Hospital coming up at Kangan under NABARD, the Ministers were told that Rs. 27.60 crore have been spent on the project so far.
The Ministers also visited the construction work on Primary Health Centre at Hariganion and took stock of the pace of work. The Ministers directed the executing agency to speed up the pace by double shift system so that the health care facility is extended to the people as early as possible.
The Ministers were accompanied by Managing Director Housing Board, Kiran Watal, Chief Horticulture Officer, B.K. Gupta and Engineers and officers of various departments.
