Almond weakens on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 27:  Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today, dragged down by subdued demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing levels amid adequate stocks.
Almond (California) prices fell Rs 100 to Rs 22,200 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 760-780 per kg.
Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 22,200, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 9,500-9,800; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,600-6,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 760-780 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 700-800 per kg. (PTI)
