Almond declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Dec 3:  Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks on increased supplies.
Almond (California) prices were down by Rs 100 to Rs 15,800-16,000 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 580-600 per kg.
Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 15,800-16,000, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 12,000-12,100, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,500-5,600; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 580-600 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
