All JU employees to regularly attend duties from Sept 1

JAMMU, Aug 27: In view of ongoing admission process, online teaching and administrative activities, the Jammu University has directed that all its teaching as well as non-teaching employees shall regularly attend their duties from September 1.
An order in this regard was issued today by the JU registrar, according to which, all the Rectors/HoDs/Directors/Branch officers shall ensure the presence of teaching and non-teaching employees in their respective Campuses/ Departments/ Centres/ Institutes/Branches with effect from September 1, 2020.
The employees residing or travelling from containment zones shall follow SOPs issued from time to time by the Government while the employees, who are exposed to a higher risk of Coronavirus disease (older employees, pregnant women, persons with co-morbidities etc) have been advised to take extra precautions and possibly restraint from coming in direct contact with the public while discharging their duties.
The order further says that to ensure safety in offices and at work place, employees should ensure that Aarogya Setu App is installed in their mobile phones. SOPs concerning social distancing, use of face cover/masks, office sanitization etc should be strictly followed, adds the order.
