KISHTWAR, July 9: A meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (District Kishtwar), affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, was held under the leadership of Distt president Satya Bushan Sharma and General secretary Neeraj Parihar to discuss the issue of Rehabr-e-Khel Teachers (ReK).
The meet demanded regularization of ReK Teachers and reducing their Probation period from 7 years to two years as already done in the case of SRO-202 employees. Salary as per 7th Pay Commission to newly recruited Government employees and inclusion of previous service in service books were also demanded.
Extending all support to ReK, the All JKLTF urged Lt Governor to look into the matter and bring justice to ReK Teachers who are the backbone of school curriculum. “When India is trying to bring best sports persons on international platform, role of ReK Teachers become more important to help in training school going children to achieve the goal of Indian Government, said the meet, which was attended by Arvinder Kishore (Sr Distt Vice President) Rishi Chouhan ( Distt.Vice-president), Pawan Sharma (Distt Meida Secretary ), Himanshu Sen (Zonal Secretary), Amit Sharma, Sahil Sen, Amit P arihar and others.
