Ali of PG College Rajouri awarded Rs 1 lakh prize

RAJOURI, Feb 2: A student of Government Post Graduate College, Rajouri, Mobin Ali, has been awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh for his innovative startup idea under the JKEDI Startup Idea Challenge.
A handout stated that Mobin Ali was initially shortlisted at district level during the Startup Idea Boot Camp held on August 30, 2025, organized by J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and hosted by Government PG College, Rajouri.
The journey culminated at the final award ceremony titled ‘Idea to Impact: Annual Startup Mela 2026’, held at JKEDI Campus, Bari Brahmana, Samba.
At this event, Mobin Ali received Rs. 1 lakh award, while Mohd Owais and Tahir Ahmad from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, were awarded Rs. 25,000 each.
The awards were personally presented by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
Dr. Anwer Shah, Principal, Government PG College, Rajouri, congratulated Mobin Ali on his remarkable success and appreciated the collective efforts of JKEDI, the District Administration, faculty members and mentors.
