AKHNOOR, June 16: The people from Nud and Jourian area have expressed strong resentment against the authorities for not repairing and improving the condition of Akhnoor Jourian Road.
The road is in shambles and it has remained unattended for the last 3-4 years despite repeated requests by the public. Large patholes have been surfaced on this important border road and concerned agency BRO/R&B has failed to maintain it. Today, in a meeting of the villages of Nud today a Joint Action Committee led by S P Sharma of Gurha Manda was framed which would launch campaign for getting this road repaired. This 11-member committee would approach the agency officers and other higher authorities for launching a movement.
