AKDUF discusses issues of migrants

JAMMU, Dec 13: All Kashmiri Displaced United Forum (AKDUF) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of D N Kissu discussed the problems being faced by displaced Pandits in detail.
Addressing the meeting Kissu said that the bifurcation of ration cards, inclusion and deletion of family members in them is a cumbersome process and despite the repeated pleas by the organization the authorities failed to smoothen the same. He demanded that the process be made hassle free.
Addressing the meting Forum president P L Sudeshi expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of lanes and drains in Sector 1 & 2 Durga Nagar and said the Forum will intensify the activities for the welfare of the Community.
C L Koul vice president of the Forum expressed concern over substandard ration being supplied at ration booths and failure of authorities in issuance of ration cards under APL category.
Prof G L Koul while taking the Government to task alleged that the constant delay in implementation of PM employment package has been cause of concern for Pandits and demanded its immediate implementation.
PN Raina general secretary of the Forum extended unconditional support to Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust in its sincere efforts for pursuing Shrines Bill demand.
The Forum expressed concern over the increasing acts of theft and chain snatching in the area and said the recent chain snatching and purse snatching acts have generated resentment among the people.
