AJKYF delegation calls on Advisor, highlights issues of Pahari youth

JAMMU, Dec 3: A delegation of All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) called on Advisor to Governor J&K State, Khurshid A Ganai and discussed various issues related to Pahari community and youth of J&K State.
Nakul Sharma, Spokesperson AJKYF, highlighted the issues of Pahari community students, such as shifting of Pahari Students Hostel, Jammu to newly constructed building of Pahari Students Hostel at Bantalab and separate Girls Pahari Hostel for Pahari Speaking girls, release of wages of Pahari Hostels employees of Jammu division which are pending from last four years. He also urged upon the Advisor to regularise the daily wagers of Pahari Hostels who are working from last two decades.
Shah Nawaz Khaki, executive member AJKYF, requested the advisor to appoint some members of Pahari Board for the issuance of Pahari Speaking Certificates to the Pahari community youth. Ankush Raina drew attention towards playground issue at Inder Nagar, Jammu where the Floriculture Department was constructing parks. which will cover the existing playground area. He suggested that 100 kanal of land may be left for the playground or track course for the use of general public of Indra Nagar connecting 30 villages or an alternative play ground may be identified in the remaining area.
The Youth Federation rued that the State of J&K was lacking required job opportunities for the educated youth and prayed Advisor to formulate an appropriate State Youth Policy covering all the three regions of the State of J&K.
Khurshid A Ganai assured that all the demands would be consider and appropriate steps will be taken for fulfilling the same.
Among those, who were part of the delegation, included Sanjay Sandhu, Sahil Jamwal, Er Ankit Sharma, Rahul Dev Singh, Sourabh Dogra, Abheet Sangotra, Shakeel Ahmed and others.
