JAMMU, Oct 14: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) has condemned former Chief Minister and National Conference working president Omar Abdullah’s alleged immature reaction over the decision of the Union Government for establishment of an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Jammu from the current academic year of 2016-17 and approval of Rupees 100 crore for modernization of infrastructure of NIT-Srinagar.
Anil Sharma, president of AJKPC, in a statement, castigated the National Conference, the party that has ruled the State for more than any other political party; for opposing IIM at Jammu and creating a gap between two regions for petty politics. The AJKPC leader stressed for collective effort for growth and development of the State.
It is pertinent to mention here that the former Chief Minister, just after 3-4 hours of announcement of the establishment of IIM at Jammu, through his multiple tweets expressed his displeasure and wanted IIM at Kashmir instead of Jammu.
