AJKLTF discusses issues of teaching fraternity

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 10: A meeting of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teacher’s Federation (AJKLTF) was held under the chairmanship of Balwan Singh Jamwal to discuss the burning issues of teaching fraternity, today.
Members of the Federation strongly condemned the hollow claims of the present State Government for streamlining the education system in the State and so called their transparent transfer policy which totally flopped and was exposed by the recent transfer orders of lecturers, masters and teachers where as the education authorities sitting at the helm of the affairs never bothered to check the order of lecturers from city to city.
It said on the lecturers, masters were disturbed from one locality to another locality, knowing the fact that they were working already in the far flung places and running the institutions very smoothly.
It has also come into the notice of the Federation that pre-mature transfers of lecturers, masters and teachers were also done without considering the need of the lecturers, masters and teachers in the field. Even some Lecturers of Science subject were transferred against the post of other subject Lecturers which clearly indicates the in-efficiency/malafide interest of the DSE Jammu or who so ever is concerned with transfers.
Mr Jamwal warned the State Government not to play with sentiments of ReT/teachers by imposing screening test for all the ReT teachers who are already in service and some of the ReT/teachers were appointed during the tenure of the present Government.
At the same time federation has no objection if the ReT teachers found with fake degree are ousted from the service and penalized according to law.
Members with one voice appealed the Education Minister Naeem Akhtar to set up an enquiry to seek the facts on the grounds so that justice is done with the affected teaching community including ReT.
Other present were Joginder Singh Manhas, Naresh Choudhary, Sudershan Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma and Shamsher Singh.
