AJKLTF demands probe into transfer lists

RAMBAN, Nov 28: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) in a meeting under the chairmanship of its District general secretary, Ramparshad Singh Manhas demanded a probe into alleged irregularities in transfer of teachers in recent ATD 2021.
Speaking in the meeting Devraj Thakur, Federation president appealed Administrative Secretary Education to intervene into the matter wherein a large scale corruption and misappropriation in ATD -2021 has been allegedly done in some districts particularly by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri.
“In Ramban district some teachers are still awaiting their adjustment after they were transferred under ATD-2021 as they are not adjusted till date,” speakers in the meeting claimed.
They demanded that the whole transfer list of Rajouri should be cancelled and fresh proposals be proposed under norms of transfer policy and a period of stay should be fixed and all those beyond this should be transferred without pick and choose.
“Many teachers who were transferred from different zones were blue eyed and were illegally adjusted without any need just to give them undue relaxation ignoring children and schools suffering under staff problem,” Federation members said.
Sanjay Katoch, Federation secretary; Balwant Singh, zonal president Ukhral; Rakesh Kumar, zonal secretary Batote and others were also present in the meeting.
