SAMBA, Oct 8: All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF) held elections for district Executive Council Samba and elected Dr Aadil Rashid as its president.
Vijay Sharma was elected as convener, Tilak Raj Sharma as general secretary, Dharmesh Vaid as treasurer and Sanjay Raina as publicity secretary.
The elections were held under the presence of district coordinators, CEC members and under the guidance of CAO Samba Kulbhushan Sambyal, Subash Sharma, SDAO Samba and other senior associates of the Forum including Rattandeep Bhardwaj, SMS and Amarjeet Sing Sen, SCA.
The newly elected office bearers resolved to take the struggle for holding of DPC, granting of pay parity and time bound promotions of the gazetted agriculture officers to its logical conclusion besides settling of all pending demands.
Addressing the meeting Rajesh Gandotra, general secretary AJKAOWF said there is need for improving the working conditions of the Department. He demanded running graders for officers of Agriculture Department who are facing stagnation for lat 39 years.
President AJKAOWF Vijay Upadhaya urged the new team to work whole heartedly and relentlessly for the welfare of the agriculture fraternity.
