AJCSF sees ray of hope in Jammu

JAMMU, July 29: There was light seen on the far end of the dark tunnel when the prominent citizens of Jammu got together under the banner of the newly formed ‘All Jammu Civil Society Forum’ (AJCSF)in an unshaken promise of solidarity and resolved to find amicable peaceful solutions to the unrest and other problems facing the J&K State.
The Forum had its meeting on July 29 under its Convener Th. Gulchain Singh Charak and Co-Convener Abdul Majid president Muslim Fedration Jammu at the Dogra Sadar Sabha complex. The prominent members unanimously resolved that time has come when Jammu region has had enough of uncertainties and suffering at the hands of opportunist political leadership working at tangents arriving at no firm decision for the benefit and development of the region. It was therefore decided by the Forum to rise above all differences of political affinities, religion, region, linguistic, caste and creed. It was resolved to rise to one entity of Jammu region and work shoulder to shoulder for the benefit of the region as a first step and for State as a whole.
The Forum also decided to call a general body meeting to finalize the action plan and translate it into implementation. In the mean times the members were given time to reach out at the grass-root level and list out the aspiration and immediate needs of the people and priorities them to be discussed in the next meeting.
