POONCH, July 20: The National Conference today criticized the District Administration for non-utilization of Capex and State Plan budget, showing seriousness of Government’s development claims in the district.
In a statement issued here today, the Provincial President Youth National Conference (YNC) Jammu and former MLA, Ajaz Jan said that the District Administration was not able to utilize even 10 percent of its Capex as well as State Plan budget since the beginning of financial year of 2022-23 allowing all the budget to get lapsed as there has been no provision to carry forward one financial year’s budget to another.
He said the Party has all along been saying that the projected development is only visible in newspapers but the ground realities are completely contrary to the Government’s claims. “Contrary to what is being publicized through the media by the J&K dispensation, the ground situation in context with the development in the rural and hilly belts is pathetic,” he added.
The NC leader said that people are confronting the development deficit but the Government is busy in spreading false narrative of colossal development in far off belts of J&K, which is a white lie as on ground people are facing multiple problems with no solution in sight.
Ajaz Jan said the people of entire Poonch district areas have been facing acute hardships due to the lack of basic amenities. “In absence of a popular Government, the general public has become so restless against the anti-people policies of the Government,” he said, adding that only the National Conference can bail out people from this misery as castles of development made by J&K Government in air are distant apart from reality.
