JAMMU, Feb 19: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor of Ward no. 52, Ajay Gupta here today started lane-drain work at lane no. 15, Preet Nagar which will incur an expenditure of Rs. 39.6 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta said that the work of lane and drain in the area was a long pending demand of people of the area.
He said that his priority is to develop areas of the Ward which are in dire need of development.
The Councillor assured that promises made by him during the time of election will surely be fulfilled and his efforts to provide every basic civic amenity to every resident of the Ward and to make the Ward a model one will soon be a reality.
He asked the people of his Ward to stop throwing garbage here and there and avail the service of garbage collecting autos in this regard.
Ward president BJP, Nittin Thapa; Booth president, Deepu Kumar; Bodh Raj Sharma, Ajay Vadhaan, Ankush Sharma, Vishal Kumar, Raju Kumar, Sonu, Vikas Kumar, Surinder Sharma, Manmeet Singh and other prominent members of the society were also present on the occasion.
