DODA, Oct 12: The ongoing indefinite hunger strike of All India Students Federation (AISF), District Council, entered 7th day today. The students of Federation, who have been sitting on hunger strike at Old Bus Stand here, are demanding to start PG classes in Doda Campus of University of Jammu and Commerce stream in Government Degree College, Doda.
According to a release issued by the Federation, the condition of two students, who were admitted in District Hospital Doda seems to be critical and needs immediate shifting to GMC, Jammu.
Early in the morning, a large number of girl students of GDC Doda joined the students already sitting on hunger strike.
Besides, students of Higher Secondary, Doda, ITI , Doda and other colleges are sitting on hunger strike.
Other demands put forward by the federation are appointing a Rector for Doda Campus of University of Jammu, Boys and Girls hostel at district Headquarter Doda and implementation of half fare charges to students.
Various other organizations including Doda Welfare Society, Civil Society and Education Development Society endorsed their full support to the federation on their issues.
