AIRNF delegation meets GMC Jammu Principal over 2½ days salary cut

JAMMU, Mar 14: A delegation of the All India Registered Nurses Federation (AIRNF), J&K UT committee today met the Principal, Government Medical College Jammu and the chairman of the committee constituted regarding the grant of 2½ days’ pay and allowances in favour of non-gazetted employees of the Health & Medical Education Department.
During the meeting, the delegation comprising the State president, State general secretary, State vice president and executive members raised the serious issue of 2½ days’ salary deduction and strongly highlighted the unlawful deduction of salary of Matrons and Assistant Matrons of the Nursing Cadre at GMC Rajouri. The federation expressed deep concern over the injustice faced by the affected employees and urged the authorities to address the matter on priority.
The Principal, GMC Jammu assured the delegation that the committee has been constituted to resolve this burning issue in a fair and practical manner. He stated that the committee would make every effort to find an employee-friendly solution while keeping in view the working conditions and service criteria of the employees.
On the occasion, State president Vishav Sharma submitted a detailed representation in favour of all employees whose two and a half days’ salary has been deducted and appealed for an early, just and employee-favourable resolution of the matter.
The Federation reiterated that the interests of employees must be protected and that no injustice or arbitrary deduction should be allowed to continue.
