Sir,
The brave son of India, the great air warrior is back, a great sigh of relief.
One can only wish the other great air warrior who had similarly crash landed in Pakistan during Kargil had also come back alive.
The one big difference during Kargil and now I feel is the highly developed and active social media and I feel it is the social media to a great extent which helped in getting the Wing Cdr back.Had the locals who initially thrashed the Wing Cdr not posted the video which went viral we probably would not have come to know whether the Wing Cdr had crash landed dead or alive, and knowing Pakistan well they would have initially denied having him in captivity and tortured him.Thank heavens for the social media revolution.
It needed great resolve of the Government and the Prime Minister to have shown the political will to allow the air strikes which the Air Force very aptly delivered. A great job done.
Credit also goes to the MEA and the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the diplomatic blitzkrieg before and after the air strikes. We have a man with guts, decisiveness and determination at the helm who can take bold decisions and that is why the world is now looking up and taking note of India as a force to recon with.
The most hilarious part is Imran Khan the Prime Minister of Pakistan being nominated by his own Senate for Noble Peace Prize who had no option but to release the Wing Cdr as per the Geneva Conventions after the video went viral showing the Wing Cdr having been captured alive.
I salute Wing Cdr Abhinandan for his bravery, grit in adversity and poise as a POW.
I don’t like war and killings but what I dislike most is our men in uniform dying and their death not being avenged. It is now time to avenge and we should all stand with the Government and the forces.
It is a period of reckoning for a resurgent and rising India!!
