AIMCCC delegation calls on Advisor

JAMMU, June 19: A delegation of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) called on Advisor to Governor K Skandan today and discussed the problems of displaced people with him.
The delegation was led by president of AIMCCC, Desh Rattan Pandita and others who accompanied him included its senior vice president, Daljeet Singh, vice chairman, B K Raina besides PM package youth.
While briefing Advisor said the delegation informed him that KPs of Jagti township are facing water crisis and this problem has not been solved. It said the inmates of Jagti are provided impure water and their demand of digging bore wells to provide pure and regular water supply has not been met till date.
The delegation also demanded release of balance ex-gratia for the gutted houses and other properties of migrants inValley, removal of encroachments in Valley from KPs land and other property, unearthing of nexus between revenue officials and land mafia who are encroaching Pandits land and later mutating the papers with the help of Revenue Department officials.
The delegation appealed the Advisor to visit migrant camps in Jammu to ascertain the problems of the people living there. It also demanded immediate solution to the pending demands.
The Advisor assured the delegation that he will visit the Jagti township and other camps to ascertain the problems.
