JAMMU, Apr 25: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC), demanded immediate attention of Government towards problems of Kashmiri migrants living at Jammu and other parts of country.
AIMCCC organised a meeting at Jagti township under the chairmanship of B K Raina today. While addressing the members, president of AIMCCC, Desh Rattan Pandita said that KPs always welcomed and supported Government but it is unfortunate that the community was totally ignored due to which the problems faced by the community since migration have compounded.
“Our community people lost entire property as we were hounded out from Kashmir being patriotic and indigenous people of Kashmir”.
He urged the community to be cautious as some forces are politicking on community for their personal interests and are trying to make community’s agenda diverted from real issues. He appealed everyone to understand this and strengthen AIMCCC.
Rattan further said, his organisation will again raise the problems before Government soon after completion of elections and it will organise Nyai (Justice) and Adikhar (Rights) rally to turn attention of Government towards this patriotic community leading an exiled life for last 34 years now. “We have Constitutional rights to fight against discrimination and nobody on earth can stop us”, he added.
He also warned those people who are trying to dilute the community interests for their petty gains.
General secretary, J L Raina, secretary Ladies Wing, district presidents, Youth Wing, secretary, Vinoo Misri organiser Sagar Koul and other prominent leaders also spoke on the occasion.
