JAMMU, Nov 8: Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor Central University Jammu visited Mata Sarswati Pustakalya, a digital library cum book bank, computerized reading room, counselling centre and employment bureau Jagti township, near here, today and interacted with the students who have participated in different online activities organised by Helpline Humanity during present pandemic crisis for the empowerment of youths and to overcome their stress because of COVID -19 Pandemic.
Prof Aima commended the role of Helpline Humanity team for organising such activities for students and assured organisation every possible help from his side for the betterment of students community. He complimented the organisation for conducting painting, debate, cultural activities, coaching by IIT Jammu, Geeta classes besides providing free of cost books to students yearly without any caste, creed and colour.
Earlier Col. (Retd) G. K. Raina, Director Helpline Humanity read the welcome address. He said the visit by dignitaries to Library Office is an encouragement for students and Library staff led by Jyoti Rani, Guddi Dhar, Sangeeta Shashoo.
M K Bhat president, Helpline Humanity read detailed activities carried out by organisation during present Pendamic and also read future plans on which Library team is working for the overall benefit of students.
Prof Aima also gave certificates to students who participated in various activities organised by Helpline Humanity along with Kanchan Razdan, senior Lecturer and Nimmi Koul who were special guests on the occasion.
