JAMMU, May 6: All India Kissan Sewa Sangh (AIKSS) extended its support to the striking Patwaris and asked the Government to accept the demands of the Patwar Association so as to mitigate the sufferings of farmers due to their continued stir.
Addressing a press conference, Vinod Yadav, national president AIKSS said that in an emergency meeting, AIKSS discussed one point agenda over the ongoing strike call of the Patwar Association.
“We criticize the silence of the Government and in the meeting unanimously decided to force the Government for considering the long pending demands of the Patwari’s immediately”, he said.
He added that the work of general public especially relating to the farming community is suffering badly due to the strike of the Patwaris towards which the Government has turned and deaf ear.
Yadav disclosed that AIKSS has passed the resolution in support of the striking Patwar Association to help them socially, physically and morally.
“If the demands of the striking Patwaris were not accepted within seven days then we will be forced to join the striking Patwar Association to mount pressure on Government for consideration of their just and genuine demands”, he added.
Among others present were Sham Lal, Kuldeep Chalotra, KK Sharma and Raj Kumar Choudhary.
