JAMMU, June 4: All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) president, Rajinder Kilm has made a fervent appeal to Union Government and UT administration to settle the long standing issues of displaced Pandits leading an exiled life for last 37 years.
Addressing a meeting here, today he said that continued neglect of community issues despite the repeated pleas by the AIKPC and other KP organisations, the problems remain unresolved.
He said two generations have spent their life in exile and now the third generation is also not foreseeing any chance of return to its homeland and how long the displaced Pandits will wait for justice, he asked?
Kilm reiterated his demand of honourable, dignified and sustained return and rehabilitation of displaced people to their homeland Kashmir.
He also demanded substantial enhancement of monthly relief and urged the Government that till the community’s return to Valley all the amenities be provided to displaced people at the places where they are putting at present.
He also reiterated that his organisation will continue to be a bridge between displaced people and Government. He regretted that despite the sincere efforts of his organisation, the present dispensation is turning deaf ear to the issues of displaced people.
