*Kuldeep presents his book “Silent Cries” to Atal Dulloo

JAMMU, Apr 18: After weeks of persistent efforts and discussions with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner regarding the issuance of ration slips, a seven-member delegation led by Kuldeep Kashmiri, the working president of All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) met with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to highlight the pressing concerns of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
During the meeting, Kuldeep Kashmiri engaged in a comprehensive discussion with the Chief Secretary, outlining the challenges faced by the community, particularly regarding the issuance of ration slips.
The delegation highlighted the necessity of continuing the issuance process on a yearly basis, urging to discard the recent order of issuance on a monthly basis.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, displaying patience and attentiveness, promptly addressed the ration coupon problem. He issued immediate orders to resolve the issues pertaining to the issuance of ration slips, ensuring that the process continues on a yearly basis, as advocated by the delegation.
The seven-member delegation, which included Comrade Mohan Lal Raina, Coordinator AIKPC, Sunil Pandita, Senior Social Activist, Bharat Kachroo Senior Social Activist, HL Pandita Senior Congress Leader, and Ravinder Koul, President of Overaged Relief Holders Association, expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary for his swift action. They also extended their appreciation to the community members for their unwavering support in resolving the issue.
During the meeting, Kuldeep Kashmiri presented his book “Silent Cries” to Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, urging him to peruse its pages. The book, while shedding light on the miseries of the exodus, also offers valuable insights and suggestions for the way ahead.
