JAMMU, Aug 13: All India Confederation of SC/ ST/ OBC Organizations (AICSO), J&K, today submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, requesting them to order review of the six-member committee constituted by the Principal Secretary, Home, RK Goel and headed by ADGP (Hqts), Dr Shesh Pal Vaid, for recommending and finalizing the seniority of Deputy SPs by August 31.
R K Kalsotra, State president of the Confederation urged the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to give due representation to the reserved categories in the committee as no member of the committee belongs to these communities to watch their interest as guaranteed by the Constitution.
He further stressed that all the HoDs be instructed to give due representation to reserved categories while constituting DPCs, Committees and Panels and also follow the guidelines of Reservation Act-2004, SRO- 294 of 2005 and SRO-144 of 2008 in letter and spirit.
