Hyderabad, Jun 20: All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has decided to conduct month-long National Webinars from July 1 to 31, through Zoom App, to commemorate the 52nd Anniversary of Bank Nationalisation.
The Theme of the Webinars are Vibrant Banking for Vibrant India and Focus will be People’s Money for People’s Welfare, AIBEA General Secretary Ch Venkatachalam said on Sunday.
He said 31 Webinars will be held and added on July 4, 10, 11, 18, 21, 24 and 25 it will be conducted from 1600 hours to 1700 hours and on all other days from 1900 hours to 2000 hours.
The speakers in the National Webinar included AIBEA President Rajen Nagar, Lawyer and Human Rights Activist Indira Jaising, Justice K Chandru, (Retd) High Court of Madras, Mr P Sainath, Founder, People’s Archive of Rural India, Mr Prashant Bhushan, Supreme Court Lawyer, Prof Babu Mathew, National Law School University, Bengaluru, Prof Naval Kishore Chaudhry, Economist, Patna, Mr Jairam Ramesh, Former Union Minister and Congress MP, Mr Saugata Roy, Trinamool Congress MP, Mr D Raja CPI General Secretary, Mr Atul Kumar Anjan, All India Kisan Sabha General Secretary and others.
The AIBEA is demanding to strengthen Public Sector Banks, Stop Privatisation of Banks, Recover Bad Loans, Publish list of bank loan defaulters, Take criminal action against willful defaulters, Bad Bank is a bad idea, Increase interest rate on Deposits, Reduce service charges, Strengthen and restructure Co-operative Banks and Sponsor Banks to be taken over by RRBs, Mr Venkatachalam said.
