AIBCU’s concern over denial of OSC certificates

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 30: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in its meeting here today has expressed concern over the delaying tactics adopted by the revenue authorities in issuing other social caste certificates to the OBCs in Jourian Tehsil of Jammu district.
The meeting said that the authorities are raising objections in issuing OSC certificates to the members of OBC community and denying the same with the remarks that the people applying for the same have more than Rs 4.5 lakh annual income.
The meeting made it clear that OSC certificate has nothing to do with the income as it is issued on the basis of caste and not on income.
The AIBCU has taken up the issue with DC Jammu and also Commissioner , Secretary Revenue Department for their immediate intervention.
The meeting which was chaired by the president of the Union Abdul Majid Malik demanded that such officers be dealt under law who deny the certificates to the people by raising unnecessary objections.
Prof Kali Dass, Master Sain Dass and M R Bangotra attended the meeting.
