JAMMU, May 9: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has urged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to make the B C Commission report public at the earliest.
The demand was raised during an executive meet of the Union chaired by its president Abdul Majid Malik. All executive members and state district presidents including general secretary Prof Kali Dass attended the meeting telephonically.
The speakers said that the Chairman of the State Commission for Backward Classes (BC) of J&K B D Sharma has submitted its interim report on March 13, 2021 to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha after about four months late from its stipulated time but the same has not been made public, either by the Chairman of the Commission or by the Government.
Stating that the Report of BC Commission is a matter related to the majority population of the state belonging to OBCs, SCs and STs, they demanded that it be made public as the concerned communities have already suffered a lot even after the abrogation of Article 370 due to the non-implementation of all Central rules in J&K.
“Report must be put in the public domain so that policy of the Government may come in the knowledge of the public,” said Union president, while adding that the Center Government has deliberately blocked the natural flow of justice for OBCs through S No: 7 of page 42 of the Bill of 2019 dated 5th of August for the abrogation of Article 370.
All the participants in one voice appealed the LG to make the B C Commission report public without any further delay as two months have already gone with out any public know of the interim report of the Commission.
