AIBCU seeks social justice for backward classes

JAMMU, Feb 18: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), Social in a meeting today while expressing grave concern over betrayal of the people belonging to OBC categories by the successive State Governments have pinned high hopes in the BJP which is likely to form a Coalition Government with People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The meeting which was chaired by Union president Abdul Majid Malik later in a statement said previous coalition has totally failed to provide justice to the OBCs in the State and it treated Jammu as a second fiddle to Kashmir. It said that PDP which is all set to form an alliance with BJP has not also given any indication to settle the issue of OBCs demanding 27 percent reservations as per the recommendations of Mandal Commission.
The Union said that PDP leaders have not given any satisfactory assurance to it regarding their demand. So it has all expectations with BJP and the Union is hopeful that the Party will not make any compromise on social justice for the OBCs.
The meeting also expressed the hope that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed after taking over as Chief Minister by shunning his old attitude will pay a special attention towards poor.
The meeting among others was attended by Sandokh Chand, Mohamed Kabir Qureshi, Mohammed Hanief Qureshi, Ghulam Rasool, Bodh Raj Dogra, Deepak Pandey, Puran Chadgotra, Master Sain Dass, Darshan Lal and Prof Kali Dass.
