AIBCU discusses rights of J&K OBCs

JAMMU, Jan 15: After meeting Lieutenant Governor, G.C Murmu, All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) met under the leadership of Abdul Majid Malik, Union president and discussed the rights of J&K OBCs.
A handout stated that AIBCU leader, Prof Kalidass, who had led the deputation, informed that the LG gave a patient hearing and assured for early redressal of the issues of J&K OBCs.
He also informed that the list of left-out castes was also submitted to the LG for inclusion in the list of OBCs.
The meeting also discussed that on ground there is no implementation of all central rules in J&K Union Territory as has been claimed by many Union Ministers regarding the Reservation Act of 2004.
AIBCU members in the meeting were informed that the deputation had raised three main demands before the Lt Governor and these demands were implementation of Mandal Report, reorganization of State Commission for Backward Classes with all members and Chairman from OBC communities and bringing National Commission for Backward Classes to J&K.
S.C Verma, Darshan Mehra, Anchal Singh, Brij Mehra, Khursheed Ahmed Ahanger and M.R Bangotra (retired CEO) also spoke on the occasion.
